Hastings United Football Club is delighted to announce the above game at the Pilot Field in aid of the Club’s floodlight appeal. Apart from the game itself, the Club intends to arrange numerous other attractions on the day, to make this a great occasion for all the family.

Advance tickets can be purchased from the Club, priced at £6 for adults, £4 for concessions and £2 for under 18s. Entrance on the day will cost £7 for adults, £5 for concessions and £3 for under 18s. Family tickets for two adults and two children are also available for £14 in advance, or for £18 on the day. The gates will open at 11.00am for prepaid ticket holders, and half an hour later for those purchasing tickets on the day. Season tickets will not be valid.

In addition to the match and match ball sponsors above, the Club is also looking for sponsors for the ball children, the mascot for the day, and the matchday programme. If you are interested in supporting the Club in this respect, please call Dave Walters on 07970 165102.

The Hastings Legends Team will be led by the Club's former striker and Reserve Team manager Keith Miles, and will hopefully feature many ex-Hastings Town and United players, and former St Leonards players, as well as one or two local personalities maybe. Those already confirmed are Peter Baker, Peter Heritage, Matt Jones, John Lambert, Mark Leaney, Terry White, Craig Willard and Dave Willett. It is hoped that Paul Watson and Dean White will be added to that list in the near future, while former professionals Sasha Ilic and Paul Smith could possibly be included as well, with keeper Lee Worgan also on stand-by. If you would like to join them, please contact Keith on 07801 800649.

The Arsenal Charity Team is now in its eighteenth season. The side plays all over the south-east (and occasionally further afield), thanks to the efforts of a willing squad of players, who love to turn out for charity in the famous red & white, whenever commitments allow.

Although obviously unable to guarantee the appearances of particular players at this stage, the ex-Arsenal contingent is typically drawn from the likes of Brian Hornsby, Perry Groves, Chris Whyte, Ian Allinson, Danny O’Shea and Tony Murtagh. Spectators can look forward to some quality touches from the ex-professionals of course, and no matter which of the celebrity squad members are able to attend, they will certainly bring another brand of entertainment altogether, because to a man, they are all out to prove that show business's gain really was football’s loss.

Celebrities such as Tommy Walsh (Ground Force), Phil Daniels (Eastenders), Tony Hadley, (Spandau Ballet), Patrick Robinson (Casualty), Ralf Little (Royle Family) and Robbie Gee (Desmond's) have all turned out whenever they could, and the Arsenal side has also previously included guest stars from other sports, cricketer Mark Ramprakash and rugby player Martin Offiah, both of whom have recently gained fame in Strictly Come Dancing, World Champion boxer Terry Marsh and World Champion snooker player Ronnie O’Sullivan, while former Charlton Athletic winger Johnny Harrison, who holds a Guinness Book of Records entry as the smallest player to have appeared in the Football League, has also featured in previous matches.

Update 13 July - With the game now less than a fortnight away, the Arsenal Ex-Pro/Celebrity team manager has confirmed that the following players are likely to be involved in the game at the Pilot Field on the 26 July. Brian Hornsby, Danny O'Shea, Tony Murtagh, Robbie Gee, Patrick Robinson, Ian Ferguson, Johnny Harrison, Giles Alderson, Terry Marsh, Tommy Walsh, Ziggy Lichman (Big Brother), Mickey Nunn, Peter McGillicuddy, Brian Sparrow. Final squad details should be available next week.

Update 18 July - Hastings Legends' boss Keith Miles has confirmed that the following players will join him in the squad for next Sunday's match. Lee Worgan, Craig Willard, Paul Tuppenney, John Lambert, Matt Jones, Terry White, Peter Baker, Peter Heritage, Paul Watson, Dean White, Mark Leaney, Colin Spray, Alan Hodd, Dave Cornelius.

Further details of both squads will be provided in the build-up to the contest itself, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates to this page over the course of the coming weeks. And please print out and display the matchday poster if you can.
