ABOUT HASTINGS 

Hastings is unique as the place where English history changed course in 1066. Harold defended England against the invading Normans at Battle and the outcome meant that Norman influences are still recognisable nearly a thousand years later throughout the country.

There are many facets to the Hastings of today, from the historic old town to the modern town centre.

Historic links are numerous including  - One of the original Cinque Ports - Having the first planned Regency seaside town in England at St Leonards - Stiill the largest beach launched fishing fleet in Europe.
